Owner / Artistic Director &
Dance Instructor
Starting at the age of 2, Lauren Cushing has over 30 years of dance experience and has taught ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, and contemporary professionally for 19 years. She earned Senior Company level at Stage Door School of Dance in Patchogue, NY and assisted teaching classes at 12 years old. Her school was admitted in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, had many celebrity teachers such as Rockette Dancers and choreographers of Broadway shows, music videos, and films. She danced there until she moved to Wellington, FL at 15 years old. As a teen she showcased her own choreography in WHS Dance Company, and taught young children in many local studios. After getting married, she moved to the Bahamas and taught dance for Pre-K as well as adults on the Navy Base in which she lived. As an adult she studied various techniques of exercise and received certifications such as RYT-200, AFFA, NASM, and Yoga Alliance accredited certification for Sculpt, Hot Core and Primal Movement Dance workouts. Meanwhile, she studied dance under Rocky and Doreen Duvall of Dance Arts Conservatory and Co-Directed their Momentum Dance Company for two years. After giving her life to Christ in 2018, she was given an opportunity to use her skills for worship. She choreographed many pieces and presented them at churches, Christian dance conventions, and outreaches in desire to see people receive freedom through Jesus. Overflow Worship Arts was birthed from this very desire, and we pray the Lord will use our dancers and teachers mightily for His Kingdom.

Jennifer Mendoza is a dedicated educator in drama and dance. She began her dancing journey at the age of 3 and enjoys various styles, including ballet, jazz, tap, modern, and contemporary. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Dance from Florida International University, where she had the opportunity to perform in numerous productions. A memorable experience for Jennifer was being part of "The Memory Project" in her senior year, where she blended personal stories into a dramatic dance with spoken word. After college, Jennifer worked with Dr. Constance McIntyre in her liturgical dance company, Revelations Dance Theater. This role allowed her to travel across the United States and participate in a missions trip to Benin City, Nigeria, where she taught dance and worshipped with a local church. Her passion for ministry in the arts began in her youth group’s Assemblies of God Fine Arts ministry and continued with Revelations Dance Theater. Jennifer looks forward to inspiring the next generation of performing artists to use their gifts for the expansion of God's kingdom.
Dance Instructor
Growing up in New York City, Jennifer Dresdner was exposed and fell in love with dance from all over the world right in her neighborhood. Beginning at the age of 5, she danced in annual multicultural festivals and choreographed and danced in elementary school performances which continued into junior high school. During high school, she studied under Dr. Jacqueline Sawyer, a faithful believer in Jesus, who diligently taught dance history, anatomy and focused on techniques and well known dancers such as Graham, Ailey, Duncan, Horton as well as Astaire, Rogers, and many well known ballet dancers including Balanchine and Barishnikov. Jenn spent much of her time cultivating her experience in modern dance, acquiring her experience in early ballet as well as African dance all while growing as a member of “The Bryant Dance Company” side by side as a Stomp/Hip Hop Cheerleader for 5 years. As a teen, Jennifer (also a former gymnast) taught creative movement, baby ballet and tumbling at a children’s indoor playground in Manhattan. As a new chapter in her life began, Jenn became a “D.K.O.C. Dancer” (Different Kinds of Culture) volunteering at battered women’s shelters and dancing in street festivals and parades. Throughout her time with D.K.O.C. Dancers, she was selected on multiple occasions to perform in the New York City Dominican Day and also the Puerto Rican Day parade. Jennifer began working as 1 of 2 back up dancers for a Latin recording artist, originally from Panama, as well as dancing for La Mega 97.9, which is an N.Y.C. radio station where she danced yet again in street festivals and other events. In 2004, after moving to Florida, Jesus took hold of her heart and Jenn began teaching liturgical dance in churches where she has served along with teaching dance to children out of her home. Jennifer is married to her husband, Christian who she met in 6th grade. They’ve been married for almost 25 years. She is a homeschool mom of 4. She graduated her first child in 2023. Jenn has been with Overflow Worship Arts for 3 years and is blessed and honored that God would use her to pour into the children and families of this ministry.
